Terms of Service

By accessing or using BarterNH ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

BarterNH is a marketplace facilitator that connects individuals who wish to barter goods and services. We are not a party to any trade conducted through the Platform. All trades are between the participating users, and BarterNH bears no responsibility for the quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of the traded goods or services.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use BarterNH.

Users are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of their listings and representations
• Ensuring that items and services offered are legal to trade in New Hampshire
• Arranging and completing trades safely (see our Safety Guidelines)
• Complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
• Any tax obligations arising from barter transactions

The following types of listings are prohibited on BarterNH:

• Childcare or babysitting services
• Illegal goods or controlled substances
• Firearms or weapons (regulated items)
• Financial services, loans, or MLM/pyramid schemes
• Adult content or services
• Stolen property
• Hazardous materials
• Any item or service that violates applicable law

Listings containing prohibited content will be removed, and accounts may be suspended or terminated.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, including for violations of these Terms, abusive behavior toward other users, posting prohibited content, or any other reason we deem necessary to protect the Platform and its users.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BarterNH and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform or any trade conducted through it.

BarterNH does not guarantee the identity of users, the quality of goods or services, or the completion of any trade. Use the Platform at your own risk.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BarterNH and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or any trade you conduct through it.

The BarterNH name, logo, and all platform content are the property of their respective owners. User-submitted content (listings, photos, messages) remains the property of the user, but by posting it you grant BarterNH a non-exclusive license to display it on the Platform.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of New Hampshire.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
