• Messages: Communications sent through the platform messaging system
• Usage data: Last active timestamp, trade history count

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the BarterNH platform
• Enable messaging between users
• Match your listings with potential trade partners
• Send email notifications about messages, trades, and matches (you can manage your preferences)
• Maintain platform safety through moderation tools
• Improve the platform based on usage patterns

We do not sell your personal data. Period.

Your information may be visible to other users as follows:

• Your display name, location, bio, interests, avatar, and trade count are visible on your public profile
• Your listings are publicly visible to all visitors
• Your messages are only visible to the other party in the conversation

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted database platform with enterprise-grade security. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with secure password hashing.

Uploaded images (listing photos and avatars) are stored in Supabase Storage and are publicly accessible via direct URL.

BarterNH uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication sessions only. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that collect personal information.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through your profile page
• Update or correct your information at any time
• Delete your listings
• Request account deletion by contacting us (we will remove your profile and associated data)

BarterNH is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
